PINELLAS COUNTY ORDINANCE 20-14
effective Wednesday June 24, at 5:00pm.

As of June 24, 2020 5:00pm Pinellas County has passed an ordinance requiring face coverings, for both Guests and Associates occupying any indoor public space. This ordinance will be in effect until further notice.

The ordinance defines a “face covering” as a material that securely covers the nose and mouth and remains affixed in place without the use of one’s hands and serves as personal protective equipment. A cloth face covering, or mask, may be factory-made or sewn by hand and can be improvised from clothing or other household fabric items. The ordinance applies to adults 18 years of age or older. Children 17 and under are left to the discretion of the parent, guardian, or accompanying adult.

Hotel guests and associates will be required to wear a face covering while occupying indoor public places, such as Lobbies, Restaurants, Gift Shops, Laundry Room, Fitness Center and Elevators. Customers can remove their face coverings while they are dining and/or consuming beverages once seated at a table or bar as long as they are social distancing.

At this time masks are not required for outdoor venues (pools, beach and grounds) as long social distancing is followed. The county has decided that this will be enforced as a non-criminal local ordinance violation, in addition to other enforcement remedies, though Fines may be imposed, to guests, by the County, for repeat offenses.

As a courtesy Sirata Beach Resort will supply each Registered Adult Guest with ONE (1) Mask per stay, at time of check in. Additional masks may be purchased at Sea Breeze Gift Shop.
