Sirata Beach Resort Enters Final Stage of $15 Million Transformation

“Play More” takes on a meaning all its own at the new and improved resort as guests are able to enjoy the newly renovated areas

St. Pete Beach, Fla. – Sirata Beach Resort, located directly on the Gulf of Mexico has begun the final stages of its $15 million dollar transformation, set to be completed this fall. The resort’s renovations, led by the award-winning architectural and design firm EOA Group, included a redesign of the 382 guest-rooms and suites, pools and beachfront oasis, a Sprouts kid’s Splash Zone, private cabanas, a hanging chair garden/firepit, newly opened Harry’s Beach Bar, upgraded meetings and event space and one-of-a kind murals created by a local art legend Derek Donnelly.

Sirata Beach Resort’s amenities, uniquely located with beachfront access and within a short distance from downtown St. Pete’s many attractions, museums, shops and craft breweries, has turned the resort from a place to stay into a must-visit destination that encompasses the aspects that make the area uniquely St. Pete. With the growing popularity of St. Pete Beach, the completed resort will boast local influences with a refreshingly modern design to create the perfect beachfront getaway where every guest will feel instantly at home; a retreat to return back to again and again.

“The Sirata Beach Resort has always been proud to be part of the St. Pete Beach community and is thrilled to make enhancements that create experiences for guests that are unique to the destination,” said Jeff Abbaticchio, Director of Marketing at Sirata Beach Resort. “With the room renovations complete and guests able to begin enjoying the new Harry’s Beach Bar, Sprouts Splash Zone and murals created by Derek, we are thrilled to be heading into the final stages of Sirata’s complete transformation.”

The resort’s new theme takes on a coastal casual design, infused with a range of blue and yellow hues that overlap a crisp palette of white and light gray. The redesign’s simple elegance ensures that ocean side sensibility and feelings of relaxation with splashes of fun pervades every aspect of a guest’s stay, from the moment of arrival through to departure.

Sirata Beach Resort provides each guest with the unique-to-the-area experience of walking straight from their room or the pool onto the resort’s private beach. This location access also allows for countless views of what has made the area come to be known as the sunset capital.

With the unveiling of the new Harry’s Beach Bar, guests are able to enjoy an upgraded menu that allows for indulgence of seasonal brews from local breweries, refreshing cocktail drinks and fresh, beachside bites all in a more open air bar space. The seating is beach comfortable and is perfectly positioned for full enjoyment of the open water and warm sea breeze.

Sirata’s newly created Sprouts Splash Zone area allows younger guests to become immersed in the sea turtle design through the just painted “Swim for the Moon!” mural displayed along the walkway. The theme has been inspired by the endangered sea turtles that call St. Pete Beach their home and will work to generate more awareness of these natural inhabitants.

Rum Runner’s will reemerge later on this fall as the new favorite sunset spot after being converted into a playful, open lounge area right on the beach. The rustic bar will maintain the light hearted fun of the space while Adirondack chairs, rustic cocktail tables, a center fire pit and playful activities will offer plenty of seating and fun.

Sirata’s existing 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space exhibits a new casual yet elegant look to accommodate groups, weddings and larger events.

The beach resort has had a long standing reputation for creating an experience that is worth repeating – for both visitors and the local community – and looks forward to surpassing expectations even more once the full renovations have been completed in fall 2018.
